I used ImageChef to make a license plate-not very original but easy to do.

Thing 5 Mashups
I used Splashr to make a presentation of leaves from Flickr photos. It was really easy to add the code to this page and would make a fun, attractive to present my own photos. Click on the link below to see it.

Thing 4 Flickr
I have shared photos on Flickr before, so it wasn't new to me. I like the idea of sharing and saving photos online, but wonder about the long term use of it.
I love to travel in Mexico so I searched Flickr for Mexico. I looked through a lot of photos taken in New Mexico before I stumbled on this photo of Cerra de la Silla by Carlos Brava. I have actually been to Monterrey, Mexico where this is located and even climbed the mountain.

Thing 3 RSS Feed
I have looked at RSS feeds before and found it pretty easy to set up the Google reader. I found some interesting technology feeds that led me astray for 45 minutes just now so I hope to go back and look at them more sometime. I also added some of my co-workers feeds so I can see if they update their blogs.
For a library, an RSS feed would be useful for their news page. Our library does our news that way, but we struggle to update our news often enough to make it worthwhile for our readers. RSS capabilities with the OPAC would be useful for our users-they could get an alert when the new book by their favorite author arrives.
